First-release communication and monetization
Players cannot send voice, text, images, or other messages to each other. Public player names are generated by the game from a controlled list and cannot contain free-form text. The game does not offer real-money purchases. Advertising is disabled in the currently distributed iOS version. Optional rewarded hints are being introduced only in supported iOS versions as described below; older versions and the Android app do not initialize an advertising SDK.
Information we collect
Offline play does not create an online account. If you choose an online feature and confirm that you meet the displayed minimum-age requirement, we create a passwordless guest account and process:
- a generated player name and selected avatar;
- a generated player ID, session tokens, and installation ID;
- platform and app version;
- matchmaking state, game state and moves, match results, rewards, progression, virtual balances, missions, cosmetic selections, and related timestamps; and
- IP address, request identifiers, security events, and limited service logs needed to operate and protect the service.
We do not ask for an exact date of birth, gender, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, microphone audio, or payment-card information. Approximate region and app/device identifiers may be processed by optional Google services as described below.
Other players in an online match can see your generated player name, selected avatar, game score, and match-related state.
Optional analytics
First-party gameplay analytics and Google Firebase Analytics are enabled only after you opt in to optional analytics in the game. Google processes an app-instance identifier, device information, approximate region and usage measurements to provide analytics. Events may include app version, platform, game mode, board size, match and reward outcomes, feature interactions, and limited technical error categories. Analytics events do not include player names, session tokens, installation IDs, purchase tokens, advertising identifiers, or free-form messages.
You can turn optional analytics off at any time from the in-game Privacy Policy screen. Turning it off stops future optional events. Deleting the online account deletes analytics linked to that player ID.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure online accounts, run matchmaking and matches, synchronize progress and rewards, prevent cheating and abuse, respond to support requests, maintain service reliability, and improve the game when optional analytics is enabled.
Optional rewarded hints on iOS
Supported iOS versions may offer one extra hint in an offline or local game after you choose to watch one Google AdMob rewarded ad. The feature requires a separate confirmation that you are 18 or older and any required advertising privacy choices. Declining, choosing under 18, or leaving age unanswered keeps rewarded ads off and ordinary gameplay available. The age choice is stored only on your device; we do not request or transmit a birth date. The online-play 13+ confirmation does not enable ads. Rewarded ads are not shown in real online matches or in the Android app.
When you enable rewarded ads, Google's Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform SDKs may process your IP address and approximate region, app/device identifiers, consent choices, ad views and interactions, and crash/performance information to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and operate privacy controls. Ads personalization and Google's publisher first-party ID are disabled. The new iOS advertising release asks for Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission before Google may access the advertising identifier for advertising measurement. You can decline this permission and continue ordinary gameplay. iOS may block connections to declared tracking domains without permission, which can limit ad availability. Without permission, the advertising identifier is unavailable. Advertising remains non-personalized.
Advertising choices and optional gameplay analytics are independent. Where required, Google displays a consent/privacy message before ads can be requested. Open Privacy Policy → Advertising privacy to disable future ad requests or open the available Google privacy choices. Disabling ads discards cached ads; it does not erase information Google already received. Google processes and retains service data under its Privacy Policy and partner-services information. You can exercise applicable access, deletion, objection, and regional opt-out rights through our privacy contact and Google's privacy controls. We will assist with requests within our control; we do not promise that local opt-out deletes Google's records.
The offer explains the action and the reward before each ad. Watching is optional. A completed earned-reward event grants one extra hint; early closing, declining, or an unavailable ad does not consume an existing hint or prevent ordinary play. Ads use a general-audience content-rating limit.
How we share information
We share information only as needed:
- with matched players, limited to the generated name, avatar, score, and game state described above;
- with infrastructure providers that host the game API, MongoDB-compatible database, Redis-compatible temporary cache, network, backups, and security logs; and
- with Google when you enable optional Firebase Analytics or eligible iOS rewarded ads, as explained above; and
- when required by law or necessary to protect users, the service, or our legal rights.
Service providers are required to process information only for these purposes and provide protection consistent with this policy. Advertising is currently disabled in the public iOS release; advertising data use and applicable choices will be verified and disclosed before release.
Retention
- Access sessions expire after 30 days and refresh sessions after 90 days unless revoked earlier.
- Active matchmaking tickets normally expire after 5 minutes.
- Account profiles, progression, virtual balances, and match history remain while the online account is active.
- First-party analytics linked to the online account remain until the account is deleted. Firebase Analytics data is retained under the Google Analytics property retention settings.
- Operational security logs and deleted production backups are retained for no more than 30 days unless a longer period is required to investigate abuse, resolve a dispute, or comply with law.
- When an account is deleted, completed-match records are stripped of the player's identifier and displayed as a deleted player so match integrity is preserved without keeping the deleted public profile.
Your choices and rights
You can play offline without an online account, decline online eligibility, decline or disable optional analytics, change the generated player name, and delete an online account in the game. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing. Contact apporbit.apps@gmail.com to exercise those rights.
Account and data deletion
In the game, open Profile, select Delete Online Account, and confirm. This deletes the online profile, sessions, installation identifier, wallet history, queued matchmaking state, and analytics linked to the account, and anonymizes completed-match display data.
If you cannot access the game, email apporbit.apps@gmail.com with the subject Memory Matching account deletion. Include the generated player name and any other information you still have from the app so we can locate the account without requesting unnecessary identity documents.
We may retain non-identifying records only when necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. We will explain any applicable exception when responding to a deletion request.
Children and online eligibility
Online play is intended for players age 13 and older and requires a separate 13+ confirmation. Players who do not confirm can continue using offline modes. Optional iOS advertising is restricted to players who separately confirm they are 18 or older; it remains off for an unknown age or an under-18 choice. These choices do not require or store an exact birth date. The App Store content rating describes content suitability and is not advertising consent.
If you believe a child provided information contrary to this policy, contact apporbit.apps@gmail.com.
Security and international processing
Production communications use HTTPS and WSS encryption. We apply access controls, short-lived sessions, authenticated game actions, and data-minimization measures. Infrastructure providers may process information in the countries where their systems and support teams operate, subject to contractual and legal safeguards appropriate to the transfer.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app or our processing changes. We will update the effective date and policy version and request renewed consent when required.
